What if it’s all been a big fat lie?

On 7 July 2002, the New York Times published an article written by Taubes called “What if it’s all been a big fat lie?” For the first time, someone had pieced together a coherent story connecting Atkins with public health dietary advice and Ancel Keys with carbohydrates and insulin. It was to prove a ground-breaking moment in the way that many people thought about food and obesity.
