The 8-week blood sugar diet: Dr Michael Mosley

From Saturday 16th to Thursday 21st January (2016), the Daily Mail ran a serialisation of Dr Michael Mosley’s latest book “The 8-week blood sugar diet”. The first article of the serialisation is here. This introduction seemed intended to scare the life out of people about diabetes (quite rightly – it is a seriously underestimated condition).

Dr Michael Mosley’s heart seems to be in the right place and his head has made much progress in recent years. Back in 2009, I did a blog about a BBC TV programme he had hosted, which was all about calories and eating less and/or doing more. Fast forward to 2012 and he was into intermittent fasting. In July 2014, Mosley admitted he had been wrong about fat. A month later, he was also shattering the exercise myth and then in July 2015 he shared the true fact that lard is healthier than vegetable oils. My love for him was going up in parallel... but then...
