    Hey Zoe,

I am postgraduate nutrition student in UCL. I am very interested in your theory. I am personally facing weight gain during each year of oversea study over last five years. But when I go back China for the summer, I significant loss those up to 10% weight gain from western diet without any dieting. I don’t either believe certain type of diet help you loss weight, or college researcher showing hormonal irregulation in contributing weight change to myself and to the public. Also you couldnt simply blame obsegenic environment instead the food is wrong!

I really like your idea as western diet are such industrlise which people are already getting used to eat rubbish (contain nature ingredient is just a joke, why not making it as a nature product) instead of nature food which is such funny when you see people hanging aound at lunch time with a fine processed lunch in a lovely paper bag. That is such abnormal and hard to be understand even not far ago by our grandparents generation.

Also I do believe you can not fill a disal into a petrol car. Certain people are design in eating meat whereas other are just fine eating more vegetables.

I hope to get in contact with you as my MSc disertation coming up in April is about International students weight change which I would like to find out the assosiation facots as well as the casulality.

    Best Regards
    Jin

The beginning phase of atkins is necessary to get your blood sugar level down quickly. It is an alternative to fasting – which also gets your blood sugar levels down quickly. So eating just meat is alot easier than fasting.

For some reason, people make judgements on the atkins diet based on this first phase. This is just dumb. The atkins diet ends in testing the level of carbs that your own body can handle without creating sugar cravings and/or causing you to gain weight.

This final phase allows almost all normal foods except for overly processed carbs like sugary breakfast cereals and sugar in general – although if these foods dont cause you to gain weight you can have them too.
